A problem when using ANY cheating cd/device pls help

Well lets get to the point. I have a slim PS2 v7 Satin Silver with ModBo chip inside. SO basically I have 2 problems.

1. When I use ANY cheating CD (gameshark, xploder, ar max) I wish to cheat. So I select game, select cheats then confirm and the cheater asks me to put in the game dvd. Whenever I put in the game cd/dvd it never loads like a protection from swaping dvds/cds.. how can I overcome it??

2. I have a ModBo chip in my PStwo v7 and have SMS player in my MC (for example, I don't have a problem with sms) but I CAN'T load in from MC. SMS just appears like an ordinary gamesave with icon and options to copy or delete. Unlike the modbo developers in mod-chip com say in features that "Memory Card oot "Dev Mode" will allow you to load software directly from memory card." how should I boot that??? Please any help would be highly appreciated.

IIRC, slim PS2s start at V12 through V15; V7 would be a fat one.

1. That is a feature your modchip does not support. Basically your chip turns off after the first boot and wont authenticate further media afterwards.

2. ModBo are clones of Matrix Infinity, so you should put the elf you want to boot in mc0:\BOOT\BOOT.ELF (case sensitive) and then hold R1 at boot to load it.

A big huge thanks to j_c for sorting this out! It's a booger that I can't cheat with gamesharks, ar max`es ect.. But.. I can actually load elfs from mem card... That's a great thing to hear! Will test and post results.
