problem with Action Replay Max Evo converted to DVD for ESR patch
problem with Action Replay Max Evo converted to DVD for ESR patch –
hi, I converted the CD version of an AR Max Evo disc into the DVD version in order to be able to patch it with ESR, 'cause I have freemcboot (I used a guide I found on this forum).
a problem appeared: since I don't want to waste DVDs, I tried to run the iso on pcsx2. both the US and the EU codelists are empty.
this is not a problem caused by the emulator, because I opened another iso that was already converted into DVD (but esr cannot patch it) and on that one, the codelists are full, and I'm 1000000% sure the codelists are the same on both the isos (the one that works and the one I converted).
what could be the cause of this?
meanwhile, I'll try to exctract the files from the working iso and to use them to create another one compatible with the ESR patch. I hope it will work.
(programs used to make the CD -> DVD conversion: CDmage latest version, DVDscan lite 3.7, imgburn latest version)
thanks for the help.
edit: oh yeah, sorry in case that this isn't the right section for the thread.
Why don't you use the patched CodeBreaker ELF file? (patched to launch uLE)
what? never heard of\read about it.
does it work on pal consolles?
(and, how does it work exactly? asd)
right now, I'm making another iso with Nero. I'll write if it works.
edit: it didn't work... how the heck did that guy do to make it work? couldn't he make it with the udf partition? no, it would have been too simple for me! uff...
at this point, I'll look at that codebreaker elf thingy... thanks for helping.
re-edit: can you tell me where to find it? I can't find it with google.
also, what do I have to do if I want to use it without inserting a usb flash drive every time, if I already installed FMCB?
third edit: ok, I got everything working, with pal codes. I hope the fact that a code I tried didn't work is caused by the code's incompatibility and not by some other problem with codebreaker.
