    anyone got any ideas ? cause getting it modded isn't cheap

    it actually is cheaper to mod. a matrix chip around $55 on web sites. but if you get it from netmech its $31. and if you cant do the install he can also do that for Around $35.

    It cost around $60-80 to mod the ps2, that's with chip and return shipping and installation service. You can preserve your ps2's laser by using good media such as taiyo yuden or verbatim dvd/cd and burn them slowly.
