possible to install a KHS-400B in a V7?

I remember reading somewhere about putting a v3 laser in a v7... or was it the other way around? can someone give me some info. I tried searching w/o any luck.

Says there that KHS-400B will only work on V1-4. It will not work on V5-7.

By the way, try to remember if you were actually reading about a HD7 to KHS-400C. Cause I've heard of that before but not about KHS-400B on V5-7.
