    Hello,
peeps i have been trying to use free mcboot on my ps2 slim NTSC with date code of 6C since last two weeks.
The problem is that i can't buy a codebreaker or any retail dics in my country cause it is very difficult.
So i have been trying other method with not even a single result because i have seven original games in my memory card but it would not just boot or even load a lunch to mcboot.
All it does is to load the default sony start up.
    Please help
my friend told me to use a disk burner and get a raw file of codebreaker and burn it to a CD but i don't know of burning.....
    Help please help

Slims from what i recall need extra steps like blocking sensors or something, anyway I found this info by researching when i first used free mcboot a few years ago so do more research.

FMCB works on all Playstation 2 models that contain a boot ROM older than v2.30 (In other words, v2.20 and below). Only those SCPH-90000 series consoles made starting from the 3rd quarter of 2008 (Datecode 8C) will have boot ROM v2.30 and newer.

He probably made a normal install, and his fat PS2 is an early console. The older fat PS2s will look for an update like mcX:BREXEC-SYSTEM/osd110.elf, while newer consoles will look for mcX:BREXEC-SYSTEM/osdmain.elf. That's the purpose of the multi-install in FMCB: It's for cross-model support.

    which is what i said.
your friend has FMCB working. then use his PS2 to make your card . make sure you do the "multi install"

all you need is the noobie package on a USB drive and uLE started from your friends PS2.

ok this is close to what you need. get the noobie package from this site. look for the 2011 version....

the pictures are correct , they are the files you need.
in the inject folder find the dvdelf for your region.... mine was plo i think. now this is for fat PS2 only... and the "noobie package 2011"already has one in it.......
on your friends PS2 start it up with FMCB card. then start uLE(launch elf) .

    go to file browser.
    go to /mass
then highlight free mcboot.. and start the file.. either x or 0 depending on your setup.
that should start the install program.
pull your friends MC out so it does not get written to accidentally.
put your card in. move highlight to multi install and press x.
it should check cards and ask to confirm install to the MC. go ahead and do install.
