Please Help!
Ive got 3 PS2's all with faults and im hoping one of you guys can help me. :-pray:
One is a v5 and makes a fast clicking noise and comes up with 'no data' it had never been opened so i opened it just to clean the lense but it still does it, do you think its an adjustment or new laser?
The other is a v5 aswell and will only read purple discs, ive tried cleanin the lense, adjusting the laser on the little screw and on the white cog but still cant get it to play anything else.
The other one is a dreaded v9 ive been tryin to fix this one for months! i installed a Duo2 chip in it and all was fine for a couple of months then it started with the 'disc read error' so i replaced the laser, still didnt work then i got a replacment la chip to fix it and now the disc's dont even spin!
Someone pease help :-pray:

Come on guys please give me some advice, if i dont fix one i cant play GTA SA ive got it but cant play it

You probably ripped the trace or something for the la chip. That's why it is probably not making contact.

No data (in my experience) has been a laser problem, I remember once I put my ps2 back together and forgot to connect the laser ribbon to the ps2 and I got that error, so the laser is probably either too weak to read the discs(need a new one) or it is not assembled correctly, which I doubt since you said this problem started before you even opened it.
