Playing burned games w/o a mod chip.

I have heard that u can play burned game w/o a mod chip. Would it be worth it to do this?

u can but its better to get a chip. u can use gameshark or the swap magic disk with a fliptop

What is the swap magic disk with a fliptop? Also, I only wanna play burned games and not do anything else with my ps2 so should I still get a mod chip? Is the compatibility better w/ a mod chip than w/o one? Also, I would like to know if anybody has pics for the instructions for playing burned games w/o a mod chip.

id recamend u get a modchip u can get a magic 3.1 for $16 here http://www.poamods.com/loband.html and if u dont want them to install it pm loy he is a great installer for a great price

ya.. get a modchip installed. socalmods.com has some cheap prices also, might wanna check them see if u likes.

the flip top is a case mod that leaves a space at the top so you can swap easily, and the swap magic is the bootdisc to swap them

it doesnt play all games and its a REAL pain in the ass to swap all the time...

modchips beat the hell out of it, put it in and it plays flawlessly as opposed to loading up the swap magic, hoping the game works, opening up the flip top, swapping, then playing it

doesnt sound like much but its a pain in the ass trust me... and plus, you can get a magic 3.1 for the price or less of a swap magic and flip top

Yes... its totaly possable... but you need to get a certian type of burner.. one that can burn bad sectors. They are called DAO burners.

....And you'll be able to play them in your friends consoles also
