    I'm wondering where to start..

I want to add a hdd to my fat ps2 and run games off of it. Is there a way to softmod a PS2 to play backup games on the hdd or do I need a mod chip?

    I have a SCPH-39002 model PS2.

I'm going to get the network/hdd adapter and add a 120gig or bigger hdd.

    Thanks for any help/advice!

Ah,... And just to mention it.
There is a new application available, which enables PS2-FAT-Users which have a FireWire-Case/HDD to play their games through i.Link/FireWire.

    The programm is PS2ESDL I-Version.

'What would that give me', you might ask...
Well,... You are not forced to buy a NWA/BBA, if you have a FAT PS2 which still has the i.Link/FireWire-Connection and if you have a FireWire-Case/HDD.
