Pal games on NTSC tv and ps2

Just a quick question, ive been kind of confused, will getting an S-VIDEO cable help with playing PAL games on my NTSC PS2 and TV? My TV has s-video in.

I have been just patching every game with a generic PAL-NTSC patcher, but it is awful and unreliable.
(not, cant patch thru swap magic or cdloader because i am using hdloader)

Dont think itll help using s-video (its just a cable). U need 2 buy a converter box to convert the Pal signal 50mhz to a Ntsc 60mhz signal.
Should not be that expensive

dms chips let u play pal games on ntsc systems/tvs?? does the matrix infin. do the same????

i'm moving to the UK tomorrow, and I have an american PS2. Where can I buy this converter box, and will this enable me to play my american ps2 on a PAL tv?
