    Nyko Wireless Net Extender
    Has anyone heard about this?
Aparently its a wireless, userfriendly internet connection for Xbox and PS2. I was just wondering if it connects in the back of the PS2 or the usb ports?

It probably connects to the PS2's BBA.

you connect an ethernet cable between the unit and the bba. it's nothing more than a wireless ethernet bridge really.

    no there isn't.

    if you mean this http://www.nyko.com/pr/products/nete...Front_Card.jpg

it does not show it connected to the front of the ps2. the cable in the picture goes BEHIND the ps2 and connects to the bba, it is an ethernet cable. it's drawn that way because you probably wouldn't want the thing sitting behind the ps2.

at $100 a set, i would guess that it is a relatively cheap wireless networking solution for the ps2. a regular wireless ethernet bridge is like $70-100 for 1, which means you need a wireless router or something already.

edit: for some reason, i am getting the impression that it is NOT using the 802.11 standard. there is a comparison chart to 802.11b that makes it out to look like this thing is better, but i hear the transfer rate (1.5 mbps max) is pretty sad..
