    Hi there.

I modded my own xbox with a soldered chip, and I needed to flash the chip with a new bios in order to actually get any use out of it.

I've skimmed different ps2 modding faqs and none mention flashing the chip. Is this unnecessary with ps2 modchips, or am I just looking at installation only faqs?

    Thanks.

Some chips need to be flashed with firmware to run backup games whereas others already have the latest firmware flashed on the chip.
