as a side note, swap magic will not boot any kalisto PAL/NTSC selectors (i dont think there are any exceptions). It is possible to patch these games to work with swap magic (removing the selector by obtaining the original DVDs ELF file and removing the copy protection again, as well as reindexing the lba tables again!). I think the paradox selectors and trainers do work with SM... personally havn't teseted this out as i cant find my SM cd version

great thanks. does anyone know if midnight club 2 will boot? i tried backing it up but i got the red border w/ swap magic. maybe a bad burn though.

it should, its not a very big game and i doubt it has more-than-normal protection

chips are shitty, they reduce the life of the laser. i'll just wait for swap magic 3 to come out. swap magic is cheaper too.

...Dude! Is that what you really think? It's not chips that reduce the life of the lasers it's COPIES. I don't care what you use to boot copies...There harder on the laser thus taking the life faster out of your ps2 laser. Swap Magic 3 isn't going to come out for a very long time. I remember clear back in October Z was saying "A new version of Swap Magic will be out soon." I still haven't seen shit from it. Swap magic isn't cheaper...YOu can buy a Magic 3.1 for less than 20 bucks. Swap magic costs 20 + shipping costs.

EDIT: You must have been on Z's forums before you came here (PS2Ownz-Blowz). Sounds about like something Z would say.
