Hi, I just put in a duo2se in my v4 and it booted up fine but no games would load, so i took of the top of the dvd tray and found that the ribbon to the laser had come off. The ribbon then hit the metal shielding and now i get no video, no eject. I replaces ps14 but it keeps blowing. What should i do know. I have modded mnay xbox's i nthe past but this was my first ps2, so please talk to me like a ps2 invalid.
Thanks

Normally in this situation, it is to do with the BA5815FM chip, as this blows and the PS14 blows as well. You need to replace both to be able to get the console up and running.
I do not know why no one does a search on this forum as there are so many threads with just about the same problem with installing modchips. Maybe someone should make a sticky with a well known solution to a well known problem...
