No Sound and Picture , but ps2 is working -ideas ??

hi
i got to my hands a ps2 v5 , owner did a realy bad work trying to solder a modchip .... anyhow.... location of solder point " I " cut of the board ...
i have managed to solder a wire and conect the missing point (no modchip)
i have replaced a dead fuse ( PS1 0.4A) .
the ps2 is working now , tray goes out and in np , also lights in reset and eject are o.k ... you can see the cd or dvd spining and should be game runing ...
but no picture or sound on tv ...
when you turn on and off the ps2 you can see few lines flashing on the tv...

any ideas ? maybe wire i soldered to bridg missing "I" is not thick anough ?
any other ideas what to check ?

perhaps the AV plug is damadged. there is a fuse by that area, is that ok?

Last i checked I was not an AV point, Only B and C are AV points. My guess is there maybe a bios or mecacon/cddvd rom chip problem.

mmm....
fuse near AV outpu looks fine (if you mean under board the one need the first cap near the av) also i resoldered all av output points same prob.

and Agent21KGB , do you mean the BA chip ? as tray working fine and cd spin ... any wayto check ? or just replace it ?

No the BA is fine. I mean the chip you connect A,C,B etc to. The one on the top side with the test pads. It can go bad. I have a v9 right next to me with the near same problem but not the same solution or reason for the problem. If I remember right that I point test pad runs from the top to the bottom of the board via a via (no pun intended) you may want to check that over maybe. Also by the sounds of things check the bios too. In general prognosis is bad.
