    Hi,

    a lot of people have problems soldering a modchip at the DVD controller chip.

    Here are lots of diagrams for alternative solder points.

    Specially a V3 can be soldered more easy than before.

    Many thanks @willy, who find the points and designed the diagrams.

    So instead of soldering 8 wires to the cd/dvd controller chip on a v3 just solder 8 wires to another chip!!!

    Is it just me that cant see how this makes it easier!!!

    easier placement of wires can be made it's just alternate points

    I don't find those points any easier than the normal one. You just solder the wire to another hard to solder chip.

    Its easier because you can have half the amount of wires on one chip and half the amount on the other chip. Place them so that you solder them alternately on each chip and its less likely you will bridge a connection.
