Hi, Does anyone know how to connect the Hard disk to a v7 motherboard directly without the Network adapter, by Soldering the Cable directly to the mobo? Or does anyone know the schematic Diagram of the Network Adapter for the ps2? Thanks. I want to do a case mod on my fat ps2, turn it into a slim. ^^

    PS2 MOTHERBOARD

I think you cant do it without the adapter.

But if you can desolder the connector from the adapter(second picture) and just use wires to keep it connected, then you could insert it to the PS2 mo-bo and look for a space for the rest of the adapter parts in your new case.

I hope you understand my english.

    Saludos!!!

cant do that . the network adaptor has the control chips on it. you can not just solder the IDE pins to the PS2 main board.

Wel, it might be possible to create a PCB which acts like a replacement to the normal Sony-NWA (like those Fake-NWAs with S-ATA do), but those still use some kind of controller-chips, so...
I don't think it is possible without an extra controller-chip which 'answers' to the PS2: 'Hey, I'm present/connected!'.
