Network Access Without Adapter?

Is there ANY way to access a network via usb?

I was thinking what If I could connect my psp to my ps2 and then use usbadvance to connect to the psp. Have some homebrew on the psp that would allow me to access a network shared drive thus giving me a hard drive via network without the need for an adapter

I've seen people connect their psp to their ps2 so in theory if a homebrew app was created to utilize the network (has been done) but at the same time offer that utilization via usb it would be possible?

Well, USBAdvance won't help you much, as all that does is allow you to play ps2 games loaded onto a USB device. PSP and PS2 homebrew is generally not compatible. There were a few USB to ethernet adapters made for the PS2, but they were generally pretty flimsy and didn't work with a lot of games. Also there's no way to use an HDD for games over a network as of right now.

what I mean is get psp homebrew that makes the psp think your network is its own memory card and at the same time allow usb mode the ps2 would think its running a usb device aka the psp but in reality its using the network..
