neo 2.2 chip + ea games

hi iv got a v3 ps2 with neo 2.2 chip
iv had for 3 years
i use it with swap magic
i have ORIGINAL NOT BACK UP fifa 2004 and ssx3 both ea games
when they load picture and movies are perfect
then when i play the games the football players and skiers flicker all over the place
all other games back up and originals play ok
the ps2 is pal the tv is pal the games are pal
iv tryed 2 different original fifa 2004
both still flicker
just had a new laser fitted it stll doz it
has any one else had this with the lastest ea games
with a neo 2.2 fitted even with originals
have they put something in the games to make it flicker
when a chip is installed
true crimes and the new smackdown work ok original and back up
just the lastest originals ea games flicker
any clues

I don't really have an idea of why unless EA has some protection against Swap magic...but I highly doubt that.
I will say 1 thing though..You should really upgrade your setup. Get a M2 chip or something, and sell off your SM discs.

BTW: Whenever I used to go to ownz..I remember there were some games that simply wouldn't work with SM discs...I dunno if they ever fixed the problem or not...But don't really give a damn since I got a no swap chip.

the games are originals not back up
i dont need swap magic to boot originals

Oh, didn't get that then...I have no idea why the originals wouldn't work unless the disc are faulty. Maybe try cleaning them, but I wouldn't see why both of them are like that, and happen to be EA

thet do work they load up and let u do everything in the games
i tryed 2 different original fifa 2004
so there not dirty
both brand new
just the ea games flicker
all other games from different companys original or back up
play perfect

The neo 2.2 in some cases can be easily taken out, by taking the chipset out of the socket. If that is the case see if by removing it the games play better. And really get a new chip !

It's a known problem with the Neo2 chip. Put a switch on it or take it out and all originals will work fine.

so i can switch it on and off
iv done a search for it but cant any info
