Need Warranty Seal!!! –
11-15-2004,05:23 PM
Hi, Recently, my PS2 broke, (likely a fuse) that causes the Network Adapter to not work. I called Sony, and they said they'd repair it for free, as long as it was unmodded and unopened.
Here's my Problem: A while ago, my PS2's disc drive broke, so I opened it to fix it (I was successful). When I did that, I broke my warranty seal. So now, I need another warranty seal. I'm willing to pay for one!
Does anyone have any extras?
thanks,

I had a Disc Read Error, and my dad took it apart to try and fix it since Sony was ATM charging about $170 to fix a PS2. Well we called Sony and they just asked if we used a Gameshark/AR (say no!) and if I installed a mod chip, which I haven't done. We sent it in and they fixed it anyways. As long as it isn't actually 'modded' they shouldn't care

I got one very easily. My laser was broken so i replaced it with a new laser from a other system that i later returned for a full refund. I went to a sony authorized dealer (not the sony store though) and asked them if i could purchase a ps2 warranty sticker. (nobody else was in the store) and he hesitated for a second and so i offered him $10 cdn. He said ok.

Hi, Warclock has very kindly sent me a warranty seal, so I should receive it by Friday. I'll keep everyone posted on how the repair goes from Sony, in case anyone else is in the same situation.

The trick with the network adapter is to not tighten it too tight cause for some reason the connection doesn't work. I had the same problem and i just didn't tighten it(just one turn each screw) and it worked pefectly fine.
