I have a standard dvd rom and I can read spy hunter with it but for some reason I can't read GTA vice city or smackdown SYM. I just don't understand why because all the games are DVD-ROM discs.
Can anyone help me with this?

I'm also having problems with this (originals :arg: )... Really, I never bought to many originals since I got a chip...But I have Midnight Club (it works fine), and I just got Everquest Online Demo...I can't get Everquest Demo to work for some reason (won't boot at all)...I even have trouble booting lots of DVD-Rs lately. It's probaly that my laser is getting to damn old...Try a different booting method (sometimes works for me).
Try a laser cleaning disc first. This can fix a lot of reading problems. What version ps2 you got?
I must have worded this incorrectly, my pc will not read these certain discs, my ps2 reads them fine
Try cleaning the discs and make sure there aren't any significant scratch(s)
Arrrrrrrrr, I've had that problem with CD based discs, my ROM on me PC wouldn't read 'em. Upon inspection the discs were just scratched to near uselessness. If'n they ain't a scratched and smudged up, try running a DVD laser cleaner disc in yer PC, if'n that don't help, try updating yer firmware.
