My Slimline PS2 Wont Power up

i get the red light when i plug it in but when i push the button to power up it does nothing? Does anyone know a fix for this. cheers

Same thing happened to me, the red light comes on and it wont boot.

To temporaily fix it, I pulled the power lead out and put it back in, this worked 80% of the time. But then the problem grew to yours and wouldn't come on at all.
And it turned out to be the metal plate in the power lead socket at the back of the ps2. Try bending it up a bit.

I did that, and now my ps2 works 100% perfectly.

Thx for response but it still not playing ball. i got a phone number of some company that apparently couriers you a refurb replacement for free?? gonna give it a go.
