I was thinking of bayng a HDD for my PS2 to play backups from it but I dont know my PS2 support it.I have modded PS2(Nemesis Pro) v10 SCPH-50004a.And if support it what I will need to put a game on it.

And I want to ask something.I found at ebay.com a Final Fantasy XI + 40GB Hard drive. Can I use this hdd for my games or it's only for Final Fantasy XI(sorry if this is a silly question )

You need the network adapter to hook up the hdd, go for any ide hdd, beware that with a western digital you'll have to modify a bit the network adapter to adapt it to the hdd, so i suggest you to buy a maxtor ide (not sata) drive.
You can check the hdd compatibility list here:
    http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=list

To put games you can use hdl_dump/b available on the main page of this website, follow the link on the left column...
The hdd with ffxi will work with hdl, but it's a bit small, i have a 80GB and i found it small as well...

Ok I'm thinking of bayng a:
    MAXTOR 6Y120P0 160GB/7200 8MB
    DiamondMax Plus 9
    ?Formatted capacity:160 GB
    ?Average seek time: ?9.3
    ?Rotational speed: 7200 RPM
    ?2MB or 8MB cache buffer

I see on that site you give me that the MAXTOR 6Y120P0 120GB is the best but is that meen for this one too becouse is the same model but it's 160GB.

I guess the one you want is 6Y160P0 160GB, the 120GB is 6Y120P0.
