My Playstation 2 sucks ass

Just as Topic says. I bought this Playstation 2 second hand from some chinese guy off an online auction trade website. I don't even know what chip it is because he didn't know, but I've been told it's a Magic 3 chip or something (because of the reset button trick) but my Playstation is crappy. I've had nothing but problems with backups (original DVDs and games and imports and some professionaly copied games I bought from some guy) but when it comes to my backups it's nothing but hassles. The reset button trick is annoying, and I don't understand how it works. A lot of the times my original games take 3 or 4 tries to boot, which is gay. I burnt some cd-r's last night, copied The Sims which worked the first time, now doesn't. Burnt Mediaplayer that worked once, now doesn't. Keep getting some weird Playstation logo that just hangs on some. Can't get my perfect DVD copy of Soul Calibur II burnt on an Imation DVD-r with Alcohol 120% to work. ****ING GAY. I HATE THIS PLAYSTATION.

Is it possible to get my current chip replaced with Messiah 2 or whatever the latest technology is? are they compatible with all version playstations? my PS2 is japanese which is another gay thing

yes the newer chipps will support yoru ps2
