lan games –
Hi all, I'm in the same boat. The disks were getting wrecked. I've followed everything successfully (well, ps2dragon did all the installation for me, thanks again ps2dragon) and have even managed to hook an ide drive to it, format it and run winhip to transfer my backup isos onto the drive with my PC.
Now I have a router and would like to hook both the machines in the house together so they can play games whose online servers are dead. I've got a disk id utility, and a disk id inserter to patch the iso I made with magic iso but I don't think that all of the originals will read using the disk id utility.
Is there a way to build or find another id that will work when not connected to any servers online, just playing lan games?
Also I'm sure I've read somewhere that two players can somehow go online with one disk id using one internet connection with a router but I can't find it again for the life of me. Was I dreaming or something? It would be nice if they could still go online with battlefield 2 even though one of their disks is totally ruined, it seems impossible to find that game here. Does anyone know how to do this? I understand you can get banned for attempting to go online with an improper disk so I don't want to start experimenting either. Any help would be appreciated.
