I have a modchipped PS2, a SCPH 39003, and lately its not playing burnt games properly. Originals play well, but I burnt Shadow of the Colussus and it worked once in about 600 tries.
I don't know which mod-chip it is, I didn't get it installed. All I know is that it plays dvds when you keep pressing the reset button till the blue light comes up. I think its dying on me.
My original games are closed somewhere thats why i want to play the burnt ones real bad.
I also opened up the PS2 and cleaned the lens to no avail. (There was no 'lens gear' in my PS2 to adjust the lens).
I don't know much about freemcboot, but could I install that to play games?
    Thanks.

yea it will be best for you to install FMCB and then play games from i either External HDD or Shared Network on your PC or get a Network Adapter and and play it from Internal HDD .
