Mod-Chip.com has officially scammed me. –
Hopefully this will start a thread on the discussion of mod-chip.com. I have to talked to several people who have never received chips from this company. Their web site is down now. It will pop up from time to time, with only dead links. I ordered my DMS3 from them more than 4 weeks ago, and still nothing. The funny part is that they keep returning email to me. As though there was no problem at all, i get messages saying, jest wait a few more days mate. I could have gotten this chip from another company in 1/4 of the time. and for about 15 dollars less. I selected my shipping options (and paid for them) to be UPS 3 ro 6 day shipping. If they are shipping via UPS, then why do they refuse to give me my tracking number. I know that a lot of you have had good lick with this company, but I am livid. What am I supposed to do, fly to Britain and kick someones ass?. Just sucks I am out almost 80 buck, and have really been looking forward to installing my chip. I shopped for months before making my decision, and only after gettting at least 10 references for Mod-chip.com, did I decide to order from them. The web-site (when it does load) says that they are "on vacation" (can ya dig that?, until June 30, the 31st is business as usual....it says. Can anyone shed any light whatsoever as to what may be going on with a company that i really thought was a reputable one. All in all, they flat stole 80 dollars from me. What can i do? Someone please shed some light on this rather dim situation. Thanks for taking to the time to read this.........................Phreedom is never Phree.
24 days to ship to me, no scam, but very poor service. Had to add this
Site seems to be up right now, bitch at them
If you have tried to contact them with no luck (That means no replies to your emails etc), then what payment method did you use?
If its credit Card, inform your credit card company that they are not being helpful. They will send you a form to fill in (Basically you sign this form which states that you haven't received anything etc and that they'll request the funds back from you if your lieing).
Credit Cards protect both retailers & owners.
And, I don't think mod-chip.com is a british site? Might be wrong though.
thanks for the replies guys, they took a two week vacation, and it took almost a month to get my chip. I must say however, even though they were on break, Ostermann (from mod-chip.com) was very helpfull in helping with my problem, he offered to reship me one for free with upgraded shipping and was very good at keeping in touch with me. I was just a little frustrated at how long it took to get my chip. Mod-Chip.com IS NOT a scam. They are just on the low end concerning service and shipping. For instance, 24 days to receive my product, and it didnt come with any diagrams, manuals, etc, like the site said it would. Instead they just sent me a link to some lame one page manual for the chip. If i had it to do over again I would have bought from modchip.ca Just wanted to set the record straight on mod-chip.com. The DMS3 they sent me, is in fact a "REAL DMS3", they have legit products, so consider who you purchase from wisely. Hope this helps someone out there. If you do buy from mod-chip.com. Correspond via email directly to a guy by the name of ostermann, he was quite helpful.
