Memorex CD-R –
is it ok to use Memorex CD-R to burn ps1 games and play it on the SLim Ps2 V12 with Infinity chip? or is Memorex CD-R a low qulity CD that will kill the laser of the V12 ps2?
Well, they are lower quality but I don't think they'll 'kill' ur laser...
Does that mean it is ok to use them. I only have one Ps1 game that i want to burn so I don't want to buy another bach of CDs.

Please, my memorex cd-r's and dvd+r's work just fine in my ps2 (and most of my friends who are too cheap to buy a dvd burner). No laser problems no coasters no nothing. My friends (v2 and v7) are both on their original lasers and have been using my memorex dvd media for years. My v4 needed a new laser before I even had my no solder chip installed and was playing burned games. And yes, I wasn't joking...he really has a v2 with the original laser. How? I have no idea.
^^There's your proof lalala...
I don't want to start another thread so I will ask here.
Does anyone know how to take screen shots of the Ps1 and Ps2 games(record the game into a move... mabe?) I want to make some GIFs out of them.
You could if you were playing it on ur computer... using software screenshots... but not on the ps2... no.
by playing on computer you mean one of these Ps Emulators?
and also I just burned a Ps2 game called Gun Gird on a TDK CD-R at 8X with Nero. When I play it on the Ps2 the disk spins like creazy, I can hear the sound of the spining disk, is that normal for CDs? I believe what you said, I was just wondering mabe I did something wrong.
Edit== The game runs ok, I had no problem playing it.
