I am after a media player for my PS2 which will play different files ie avi's, DivX, XviD and other. Is there a program that can do this?

Found one called SMS media player, anyone had any dealing with it? I have a slim PS2 (70003) with a modchip (Matrix inifity GREEN DOT Firmware version 1.82 ).

Have read through the sms page and it seams to be a little over my head (and I thought I was pretty good with computers)

It says I have to copy files onto my memory card using something called ELF files?

Is there an easier way? all I want to do is burn a couple of 700mb AVI or DivX files onto a DVD-R and watch them on my PS2, it isnt going to have a HDD or be networked up to my computer (unless I have too to copy any programs onto the PS2).

Many thanks and hello to all the forum members

Read through this and it seams to go way over my head, can I put sms onto my memory card using any other meathod than conecting it to my computer using a network adapter?

I have the slim line and have a router but have no idea how to connect the PS2 up to my home network, I have no sony network disc.

Why cant I put the sms file onto dvd-r and load it onto the memory card, my slimline is chipped with a matrix infinity.

make yourself an exploit with ULaunchELF as BOOT.ELF.
Trigger it (after installation) with DEV1 from your matrix chip.
There must be some links in this forum to allready handmade CD images
for that purpose, just burn it in the right mode, plug it in
    and do the automatic installation.
If you manage to run ULE you can copy all the stuff you want to your MC.
Use an USB stick it's the easiest way.
For SMS installation check out the forum.
