    Question. I went to install a MA-501 in a v10 PS2.

The problem I am having is a garbled text when it goes to the browser. If I remove the bios wires, the text is fine. I have re-done those wires 4 times now, re-routing them and it still does the same thing. Needless to say, it will not boot any PS2 games. Also if I disable the chip, the text is fine again.

On the back of my chip it has the #'s 50000 50002 50004 I am installing this in a 50001. Do I have the wrong chip? That is almost what it seems like.

    Thanks.

    Jeff

Well D and E are not bios points like on a DMS3, its more like a Magic 5 install. One of the links above has the diagram.

Trust me you picked the right one, after others are having dead ps2's and you aren't, you'll know why you got the DMS3
