Magic 3.6!! Aaagh!!!

please help me, i have tried everything, i have a ver 7 ps2 and the new magic 3.6. I tried installing it using the diagrams shown Here
What i am confused about is, that i follow the enlarged diagrams as shown but the ps2 wont boot. another thing i noticed is that in the main image shown, the ground is connected to a point a bit higher then the one shown in the enlarged image. Which is correct? and by the way, the image shows a magic 3.5 instead of a 3.6. does this make a difference? anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

either ground will work. umm won't boot like black scnreen if so . check the cli p to the bios

already checked the clip to the bios. nothing appears to be wrong
