M2 Pro and RSOD??
I have a V5/6 with a m2 pro and every now and then I have to turn the unit off then on from the back to get it to boot up games. I know when to do that because I'll get the RSOD no matter how I try to boot up a game.
What could cause that? could it be the laser?
hmm...are you sure it's an M2?...sounds like a chip overheating problem, usually laser problems you can't read the disk you shouldn't get red screens
I'm sure. I bought a couple of them not to long ago and they are the real deal. I don't instal but I was thinking the same overheading. I'm going to take it out of the ent. center to see if it makes a difference.
m2 shouldn't have any overheating problem, the only chips i've ever noticed to get hot are the XilinX chips.
What is your 3.3v wired up to, turn the ps2 to standby mode, wait 5 seconds then turn it on, see if that fixes it...some of the power points continue to get power when the ps2 is turned off for a few seconds, not allowing the chip to reEnable, usually a magic chip problem as they don't use the bios output enable to turn on, but may be a factor here,
