Linux?
Hi...
I tried Blackrhino...no problem...but it hasn't a gui interface...
I'm not a linux expert (I'm an apple osx user)...
There's a procedure to have linux starting from Blackrhino?
I don't have ps2linux kit and i can't use a copy 'cause my ps2 is not chipped..
Thanx

blackrhino is linux, so there's no need to get it to 'have linux starting from blackrhino' as you said, BUT, there's a procedure to get a gui running on blackrhino.
You need to be able to access blackrhino from a computer you have online and use the computer to download a gui and transfer it to the ps2. Then you need to install it, and then you can boot it. That's what you have to do in a nutshell, i'm not sure of the details.

startx is normally the command to bring up the installed linux gui...although I've been having problems getting my blackrhino copy to do that and many other tasks

Which is the procedure to get and install the gui?
Is blackrhino ready for internet?
Thanx

AFAIR, blackrhino is Debian-based (altough quite old), hence you can probably use dpkg & dselect. If you've an internet connection run dselect and pick an apt-web repository, then you can upgrade and/or select additional packages. Keep in mind, that PS2 has only 32Megs of RAM and running XWindows would "borrow" most of it.
