LensChanger program questions
LensChanger program questions –

Hey, I've been googling extensively but I haven't been able to find hardly any information about the lenschanger program, and the info I did find was in spanish.
I downloaded the 1.6 version and burned the eeprom.irx and lenschanger.elf files to a cdrw in nero's iso mode
I put the disc in a modded ps2 I bought of craigslist (chipped, what chip i'm not sure, but the laser sucks and I want to put the 400c laser in my old one into the modded one which only supports 400r atm) but it wouldn't load it up, am I doing something wrong? Is there another way i'm supposed to burn it, or can you not run homebrew programs by simply burning them to a cd-r even on a modded ps2?
Any advice or links or anything would be greatly appreciated, I've been at this for days and i'm getting ready to just buy a new 39001 ps2 just for the laser

Most PS2/PStwo units have problems with RW media and often fail to read them at all. I'd try a regular CD-R disc instead.

Normally you can, although there are some things to remember, to make it work right. For example, if you have set up the chip to use Dev1 booting (boot elf from MC), then it will do so even if you insert a game disc, regardless of whether you put in an original or a CD-R. In most cases the Dev1 choice can be temporarily overridden by pressing a gamepad button during boot. Thus you would press the 'Cross' button to force a CDVD boot with a DMS4 modchip (this stuff is always dependent on what chip you have).
Another thing of importance if you want a CD-R disc to boot like a game does is that it then needs to use similar methods, meaning that it must contain a "SYSTEM.CNF" file, which in turn contains a "BOOT2" directive indicating what elf file to boot.
