well i've been told that if u play it alot then leave it in standby and if u play once and awhile to turn it off thats just what ive heard hope it helps
If your trying to make it last for fifty years maybe turning it off is good. But really, electronics are made for that kind of stuff.
lol look at the v9/v10's which drop dead.. a decent % of those wouldnt even make there warrenty period
i've had mine in standby mode since hdloader came out, its worked just fine.
mines been on stand my since i got it 2 and a half years ago
flex your power dammit....if you're in california that is![]()
it shouldn't matter but i keep mine off just in case. i don't see the advantge of having a glowing LED anyway. if you can't get up to turn on the ps2, then you got much bigger problems than convenience![]()
I used to turn my PS2 off by using the back switch but nowadays I leave it in standy. Leaving it in standby is the best way, turn it off all the time using the back switch could cause damage in the future to the PS2.
Well Sony recommends you leave it on stand-by if you play regulary. Only use the switch at the back if you don't plan on playing for a while (like a few days or more) or are moving the PS2. There's just no point in switching it off everytime.
A good nobreak help a lot.
