    i have just received two v5 lasers and tryed both of them in the ps2
    the laser is making about 8 clicking noises the disc spins about 3 times slowly
    then stops and after about a minute it speeds up to a high speed
    and i was wondering what the problem could be
    any ideas also a v 4 working mobo needed in the uk

    dont forget i have a lot of ps2 bits
    just ask trading welcome

    yes the lasers are 400c v5 i think
    and i have also tryed 5 other 400c and they all do the same thing

    Stupid question time, but have you checked the ribbon cables and tryed to make sure the BA isnt Messed?

    The V5s used Sanyo lasers too so if it had a Sanyo HD7 in then you'll have to get another one of those cos the Sony ones like you have aren't compatible.
