i´ve got the same problem:
no modchip and the ps2 does not read any dvd´s.
but it can read cd´s.
is it possible that the laser unit is broken.
i tried to clean the lenses allign the drive sled and adjusted the poti, but no success-only cd´s work(music)
anby ideas?
please help
