Lan Parties for PS2?

Anyone setup lan parties for ps2 gamers? no I dont mean the usual internet gaming, I mean people actually getting together and having a lan gaming event in person like the pc crowd often does. I looked online and everything I found so far is PC only (blah). Would be cool for most network games, especially games like Gran Turismo 4 which are lan only (no internet).

Have you tried Xlink ? It allows any game on the XBox, Playstation 2, Gamecube and PSP that supports system-link / LAN play, to connect to another Xlink user over an internet connection. NOT online games!
So you can play your buddy across town with an Xbox and your PS2 from home. Theres over 200 games supported PAL & NTSC.

Gran Turismo 4 my kids play on LAN here, we have two PS2s.
I think they also play WRC 4 across LAN, we are looking for more such games however, suggestions are welcome!
too bad ATV Offroad Fury 3 PAL does not have LAN play :-(
