Probably because they use different device drivers for it.

    Can someone helps me please?
I am not sure if your keyboard got detected by Mega Man's stuff before or after the real start of Linux. But if it was detected already before the real linux kernel was loaded, then it means that a normal homebrew driver did it, and then you might be able to use the same driver with uLaunchELF, since it can load external driver files both for the main 'USBD IRX', and for the 'USB Keyboard IRX' (these are entries in the 'Startup Settings..." menu of uLE).

If on the other hand it was only Linux itself that identified your keyboard, this can not help normal homebrews do it, since the Linux device drivers can only be used by Linux.

In radshell you probably have the same problem of driver compatibility, though I'm not sure how it can be handled there, as I always used its internal keyboard support.

I think you may need to consider replacing that keyboard with another, more compatible to normal PS2 homebrew standards. And I'm sorry I have no advice on how to know if a keyboard can work well with PS2 stuff, other than by trying it.

    Best regards: dlanor

    hi, first thanks for answer.

now i have tested different irx files with radshell and ule (ps2kbd.irx and usbd.irx) i also tested another keyboard (Saitek eclipse) same problem and no detected keyboard :\

is there a way to find out if the keyboard is detects by the homebrew or the linux kernel of the Live DVD?

Another thing i have tested: The Keyboard was detected by some games like Fifa or Ybasic .. hmm is there maybe a solution on the DVD's?

I'm not clear which of the above 'thoughts' you are referring to.
Possibly you just meant that you too have a similar problem trying to use a USB keyboard.
    Right ?

Anyway, the main problem is quite simply that the USB keyboard drivers for PS2 homebrew software are quite old and not very good. Part of this is because they were made to work with what keyboards the developers had, and buying lots of different keyboards just for compatibility testing is not econimically practical for a hobby project. (Commercial projects are different in this, as they expect to get that investment money back in product profits.)

So the result is that only a fraction of available keyboards are compatible, and it's sort of a hit-and-miss proposition to get a keyboard for a PS2. The best way to do it is if you can get what we in Sweden call "öppet köp" == English: "open deal", meaning that we can return it in a day or two for a full refund, if it remains in unchanged condition. That doesn't work for some products (where you have to cut open some plastic package for example), but keyboards are frequently packed in simple cardboard boxes making return of the product in original condition simple.

    Best regards: dlanor

I guess, it also could have to do with the used keyboard-layout in RAD-Shell.
Have you ever tried using 'z', instead of 'y' (US-Keyboard-Layout).

    Whatever keyboard-layout you have,...
Does one of those LEDs light up, or don't you even have those?
