is it possible to get the disk to stop spinning on the browser screen on the ps2?

Don't think so... if you are trying to swap there... I don't think it works... I used to try with a no-solder for PS1 games and they'd hang...

well i swapped a ps1 original for a backup in the browser (while it was spinning)selected it and it booted the ps1 backup tried it with original ps1 game and ps1 demo disk and it booted both times 2 different backups

Quite cool. On my old v4 with nosolder, it would freeze... oh well :S
