    I don't think I can do this like this.

    I tried switching the disks out and it could still tell that it wasn't a proper playstation disk.

    Did I mess up on the ISO cd burning.

    Everytime I tell the GS disk to start game, it ejects the drawer.
    And if I just switch the disks, it doesn't load the ULE program.
    It just goes back to the GS screen.
    Do I have the wrong GS version or something?

    I don't even know where the tray switches are.

    One thing though...
    When I use the GS disks switch disk option, it opens and closes the tray itself.
    (even if you do get the switch out of the way)
    Does that not reset the system and tell it to look for the elf file too?

    OK, I made one of those stupid card sliders and used it to switch my gameshark disk (after it had loaded to the main screen) to the ulaunchELF cd that I burned.

    I selected (on the GS screen) "start game" and it said "you haven't selected any cheats, do you wish to continue" (note that my version does NOT have a "start a game without cheats" option)

    So I select yes, and the stupid GS disk opens the tray itself.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the thing we're suppose to AVOID ?

    Keep in mind that this GS disk I'm using is for my PS2, so I grab my PS1 GS disk and pop it in and get to the main menu...

    I click "start game" (also no, "start without cheats" option) and it says "stick in game disk and hit X"

    At this point it doesn't matter what I do [switch disks or not]
    I hit X and it doesn't even try to load the disk, it just says "gameshark still in tray, put in the game disk"

    I don't think I can do this, I can't get this program started.
    I must not have the right version GS and I definately don't have anything else I could use.

    I AM OFFICIALLY SCREWED HERE !!!

    ==================================================

    (what I need is a launcher installed to a flash drive, and connected to the memory card port using an adapter - but THAT'S not going to happen anytime soon)

    I AM OFFICIALLY SCREWED HERE !!! (again)

    (thanks anyway guys) V_V;

    You know at this point, I would.

    But I have a little problem with that.

    Unless someone lives in my city so I can deliver it in person,
    It ain't gunna hap'n.

    1: I don't have a job.
    I get all my money from doing odd jobs for my parents.
    And they are flat broke right now and can't pay me the money they owe me.

    2: My parents would NEVER let me borrow the car to mail my PS2 memory card.
    My mom is very paranoid about trusting people, especially people online.
    And won't listen to me say otherwise.

    So unless anyone here lives in my neck-of-the-woods,
    (cause I don't see anyone on the list for wichita ks USA)
    Or knows a job I can get hired for, to get money to send my MC.
    I have no options.

    THX anyway, though... VV;

    LOL
    That would be spretty sweet.
    But considdering what I've tried... my hopes are NOT very high right now.

    Would it help if I told you exactly what I'm working with here?

    Because I already posted that I have one of those fat PS2's.
    SCPH-30001, to be exact.
    An 8MB Sony PS2 Memory Card
    A 1GB Sony Flash Drive
    A PS2 Network Adaptor, though no HDD for it V_V
    A Gameshark PS1 Disk Version 5
    A Gameshark PS2 Disk (just says Broadband Enabled)

    And a burned ULE cd though I might have done it wrong.
    (out of cd's, have to use a dvd next time)
    I used my demo of Alcohol120.

    I even made one of those slide cards that I've heard about.

    Do you need to know anything specific?
    (more or more about the listed items)
    Maybe you can think of something I haven't.

    @chacyung:
    Regardless of the methods you finally use to get FMCB installed, there is one tool you should get hold of ASAP, for use in ripping and burning DVD discs.

    That tool is ImgBurn, which you can easily find just by googling for it.
    (Most likely your first hit is the ImgBurn home site, like it was for me.)

    ImgBurn is 100% Freeware, so it will cost you nothing. Just download, install, and use it.

    @Everyone: In writing this advice for chacyung I naturally checked the ImgBurn site myself, and in so doing I noticed that they made a new release only 2-3 days ago (Dec 6th). So I downloaded this version 2.5.3.0, so as to replace the old version 2.5.0.0 that was released almost one and a half years ago. I guess a lot of you guys are using rather old versions like I was, so here is a rare opportunity to get a really fresh release (without going for beta versions).

    Best regards: dlanor
