Re: I'm a n00b and need help
Basically...it comes down to where you're located and who's reliable for that area.

The thing is I'm going to get a ps2 after the price drop and I would like a to get a premodded one with a DMS3 in it. I would like to know a cheap reliable place to get a premodded ps2. Right now, I'm most likely gonna go to www.poamods.com .But I dunno yet. Also, I would like your opinion on the following two dvd burners:the Sony DRU500AX and the Pioneer DVR-A05. Which is better for burning ps2 games? One more question, this one's a real n00b question. What is a HK silver disc?
In terms of the burner, depends on what media you want to write on. The Pioneer only supports DVD-R, whereas the Sony supports the DVD-R and DVD+R standard. Of course, you're paying through the nose for the added functionality + the Sony name.
The newer PS2s will support both standards, although I have heard DVD+R are better, but I've never tested it myself.
