I just want to play IMPORTs and that is all. -What do I need?

Hey,
I did a search but I still dont know what I need to play imports. Yes I know a Messiah2 or DMS will work but I really dont want to chip my PS2. So are there any other ways to run original imports on my PS2? I also use my system online quite a bit so I cant mess that up. Ive been looking at the slide cards would they work? The only import games im looking at are GT Concept and GT4 Prologue so its really not feasable to buy a chip.

umm...i'd still suggest a chip but a swap trick could work (don't buy into the slide cards, u can just use a knife/old credit card). Either way, unless ur tv supports PAL, ur not going to be able to see what you're doing - to do that, you'll need to burn your originals so you can patch the file or you will need to use the Color Fix trick included with the messiah 2's diagrams (1 wire between 2 resistors) - That'll force NTSC mode for ya

I have the NTSC versions of the game. So I can use a swap method to play import orignals?

yea, that should work - if the TOC size of the swap cd you use is bigger than the TOC of the game.

...how'd u manage to get import originals in NTSC format? I thought North america was the only NTSC location

Swap tricks work, but nothing more convienent than just popping in the game like its just any normal game, Id say go with a chip. But do as you fancy

What version is your PS2? If you have V1-V5, I have a Novachip V2.0 that will direct boot all original games, US and Jap. If you have a V7, just get no swap chip.
