1- make an ISO of your PS2 Games using IMGBURN
2-format your External HDD to FAT32 if its not already formatted
3-use USBUtil By ISEKO to install the Games to PS2 USB HDD
4-use OPL to play games of usb hdd.

    Or at point 3......

If you have games less than 4GB rename only the iso´s to OPL-format and put it in the "CD" (for cd-games till 700MB) or "DVD" -folder on your USB
If you have games larger than 4GB use USBUtil........

just use usbutil2.0 (english) to install your games. install them directly to your external hard drive not in a folder. check the appropriate box for whether the game is a cd image or dvd image. type the name you want of course.

also you will want to make sure your installed game files are defragged. after you install a game to your hard drive you will see it broken into 1 gb parts (unless the game is less than 1gb of course). make sure those installed files are defragged. using AUSLOGICS DISK DEFRAGMENTER.

Use both OPL and PS2ESDL to play games. 2 different usb game loaders. they work very similarly

what about ps2esdl. does that one read images?

some games run and dont run on OPL. some games run and dont run on PS2ESDL. its good to get familiar with both.

openps2loader wont play prince of persia: warrior within. ps2esdl will
    ps2esdl crashes on outrun 2006, OPL doesn't

ya so just install all your games with usbutil2.0 english. so you can use either ps2esdl or openps2loader (OPL) to play them

the first time you use openps2loader you will just see a blue screen untill you hit start and configure it to load your usb games (also set it to autostart usb and show usb games on startup.

    ps2esdl is already set up

when using ps2esdl games will generally run their best if you HOLD R2 as you activate the game. but it crashes a handful of games. just have to try and see.

if a game freezes or black screens and quits working. just turn off the ps2 and try a different method/setting

If you like PS2ESDL better it has its own installer as well

    - Playstation 2 External Storage Device game Loader (PS2ESDL) -

I think OPL can not read this yet as well
