    Hello,

I have a fat PS2 (SCPH-30004) + FMCB 1.8b with Open PS2 Loader 0.8 as backup manager. I recently bought an external hdd Western Digital Elements 1To and I want to play my PS2 games with it. Does OPL recognize it like an USB stick ? I've tried to play some games with a PSP and an USB stick SONY 4Go but only the PSP works & I fill games with USBUtil 2.1. Does the games on the ext. hdd will work ?
If I have ton change the backup manager, thanks to you for telling me and how to use it.

PS : Sorry for my english, I'm french ^^'

I really hate to tell you but the usb compatibility is really shitty but you need to use usb extreme thats the only way that you will get the ps2 games to work on there... but like I said most of the games dont even work anyway... why not use the patch method with esr??? Anyways you HAVE TO use the usb hdd then you would need a program that they will give you along with usb extreme to you can configure the hdd so it can read the hdd

    Thats not correct...

He can format the HDD in FAT32 and use USBUtil, or USBExtreme, or use iso´s to play games...

OPL has a very good compatibility to play most Games ....

Have you got any tutorial about ESR ? And can I use USBeXtreme without buying it ? (like CodeBreaker 10 in .ELF)

I use USBUTIL for that work, no need for usbxtreme or another else.

That external is already in fat32, so, just put the games.

If OPL doesnt recognize it, try OPL7 or try USB ADVANCE.

UsbUtil improves compatibility if you use its tools.

OPL can recognize the external HDD ?
    yes, read the OPL forum

    http://psx-scene.com/forums/official...-loader-forum/

you only need usbutil if the game ISO is bigger than 4 Gigs. if its smaller just use the ISO. read the forum for the correct naming convention and how to enable USB HDD access in the OPL config.
