I don't own a PS2 yet, but how much megabytes should I get for my memory card? Is 8MB really enough? How many saves can get into an 8MB? Memory cards are pretty pricey for me. Heard Datel memory cards have problems but the price are nice.

We can't tell. Some games take more, others take less. Look at the back of the dvd case, it says how much memory it uses. (unless you've got nothing but "backups" ..)

I have had really good luck with the 32 MB Datel(I bought one that was actually was a mislabled 64 MB by accident), and as for being cheap, It's like having 4 Sony's for the price of 2. Space is a premium if you plan on using homebrew software.

i have a 16 mb max memory (datel im sure lol), the biggest ive seen was 64 mb. Seriously at walmart there are official sony 8mb mem cards, and max at 16 mb. The 16 mb one was about 2 dollars cheaper. Just dont go for "Performance" (not sure if performance makes ps2 or just ps1). If your in america, i only see mem cards that are around 20 bucks.
