I am new too the ps2 modding seen and my friends brother has a ps2 with a disk read error i believe. How much is the ps2 worth if thats just it? Its one of the older models not sure which one. He says 50 but i think thats too much.

You might be able to sell it for $50 if there's no cosmetic damage to it and if it comes with a controller. My advice is just fix it.

No no I want too buy it, and I dont think there is any. I want too fix it and that is why I am buying it. I am big in the xbox modding scene and really wanted too get a ps2 and get into the ps2 modding scene. But I think 50 dollars is too much if it is broken. What do you think a fair price is for me too buy it.

Fifty is a really fair price. Ive seen Disc Read Error PS2's go for $60+ on eBay. Fifty seems like a good price

$50 for a ps2 with only DRE is reasonable i see some places sell like ebay sell for higher and they don't come with controller or hookups.

There's a lot of idiots on ebay that would actually pay that amount. Some people pay $80 for a completely non-functional Xbox around those parts. Lots of hassle selling on ebay though, what with the ebay and Paypal fees.

ive paid $25 CAD for a DRE ps2 with no controller

The cheapest one I got was a V4 with a DRE and a missing tray bezel, no controllers or hookups. Cost $35 shipped; not too shabby

Yeah, I dont have a lot of money and would like too get it cheap as possible, I am gonna try too get it lower and see.
