How does a multi tap work?

hey,

How does a multi tap work? Also, does anyone have pictures of the inside of multi tap?

I ask this becuase I want to make a custom multi tap and see if it is posible.

im not 100% sure, but there was discussion on how to add a mutlitap inside the ps2

As far as i understood it, the multitap takes the information streem, and combines it, the ps2 then decodes this to work out the seperate controller streams

Unfortunetly thats not alot of help

And sorry but i havent opened my multitap, nor do i intend to

if I was you Ill go on ebay and buy a third party multitap for about $8. They do the same as official. If you want a "costum shape" then buy this one and reshape it with controler cord or wathever wire you find.

I have now ordered 2 multitaps on ebay, and will open them in the name of sience. I will post pictures when I do.
