How do you go about replacing the Eyetoy's Blue led with an Infrared one?

It looks as simple as a quick little job, just switch em out. I ask because I discovered a way to make the eyetoy an infrared camera with a simple as hell mod.

The simple mod.

I head that you have to add resistors and junk for led mods, but hey, Im up to it. Anyone else who wants to try it can try it too. It would make sense to replace the blue led with an IR one since its always on. Nightvision flashlight, anyone?

hmmm but don't u think it'll make the eyetoy kinda useless? lol (unless u use it as a webcam)

since games rely on the color to sence ur face and stuff (antigrav ^_^ and perhasp groovE)

so will this mod will it mess the games up? xD

I dont ever play any of the eyetoy games anyway. Ive been playin around with it here and ive had more fun shooting stuff with remote controllers than ive ever had playing any Eyetoy game.

Forgot to mention that I use my eyetoy for a webcam anyway.
