How do i take part a laser unit?

I have a KHS-400C and iwant to clean the 2nd layer of the lens inside

second layer? wtf? isn't the second layer where the actual laser is?

He probably means the bottom lense.

Here's a guide on how to clean the top and bottom lense. The laser used in this guide is a KHS-400B. On the KHS-400C the protective cap (black thing covering the laser) is harder to remove than the cap on the KHS-400B.
