I saw this portable PS2 a while ago at http://benheck.com/ps2-portable
I can get a used PS2 from a friend for free and I was thinking of working on the project with another friend of mine. But before I open up the PS2, I have a couple questions.
1. Is there any size difference between the FAT and the slim PS2 boards? If slims have smaller board, I think it'd be a better choice since saving space is always good
2. Is there any difference in power consumption between the fat and slim PS2?
I'm not going to use his design exactly, I'm going to get rid of the disc drive and instead make room for a HDD. Also, probably not integrate the controller into the console, rather have a battery powered PS2 + Monitor to simplify the job and still keep the controller/memory card port. The intent is to be able to take it on the go without the need for a TV as it will mostly be used under seas in a sub
